COVID-19

Q: Will COVID-19 vaccinations be required to participate in the Cascade 1400?

A: YES, all riders AND volunteers will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters within the guidelines of the CDC. As of Dec 2021, that means the complete 3-shot Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, or the 2-shot J&J vaccine. International riders will be required to provide proof of vaccine equivalent to this regimen. This section may be updated to as the situation changes. Riders and volunteers will be expected to wear masks indoors if required by state or local ordinance.

Riders will be given the opportunity to select their own roommates (at registration) for the nights where accommodations are at hotels. Riders who do not select roommates will be assigned roommates that will remain the same throughout the event.

Keeping riders and volunteers healthy is a top priority. We can not stress enough that no rider or volunteer should participate if they are feeling unwell or displaying any of the symptoms of illness.

In addition to the vaccination requirement, all riders will be required to agree to and abide by Seattle Randonneurs Pandemic Plan. This plan is subject to change, but can be read in its current form HERE. (Note: Cascade-specific changes to the linked generic pandemic plan include that there WILL be printed cue sheets provided and there WILL be a required pre-ride meeting.)
